Hello!

Does anyone use them? Do they like them? Is it worth getting? Would love to know as I have small children and also a baby on the way. Do they protect your baby from the sun etc. ?

  • Yes, I used them and they did help. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to attach to windows.

  • Yes they’re great

  • My daughter in law and son bought the ones that cover the whole side window. It does a fab job of protecting little ones from the sun. Unfortunately there aren’t similar ones for the rear window so they still cop some sun, but not a lot

  • Oh yes, they sure help. Shades keep the sun from the eyes and protect against sunburn.

  • I used sun shades and I believe they did help keep the sun out.

  • Yes, I found they did keep the sun off our child and made the car more comfortable.

  • Yes definitely worth it! We were gifted the dream baby shades and were one of the best gifts given. Blocks most of the rays and helps keep the car slightly cooler.

  • We did for one but not for our other kids. I noticed that the younger ones wanted to be the same as the older ones. I think they are somewhat useful in keeping the sun off babies though.

  • I have a suggestion when you are not using your babyseat, capsule/ booster seat. When you don’t have your child in it, at least cover the buckle, even if use an old towel or any fabric. The buckles get very hot, in the sun they can actually get hot enough to burn your child’s skin. Covering the seat etc. also prevents sun damage which perishes your harnesses, seat covers nd if old enough possibly the actual structure. The cheapie booster seats that are made of white polyurethane – a substance like white boxes that some fruit and vegetables are carried in can split if in a hot car over a period of time. I have seen one that it happened to. It definietly hadn’t been handled roughly. The child normally went to sleep within 5 minutes of being put in it and woke up after the car ignition was switched off.

  • yeah i had used these for our kids. i have had suction caps and covers and yeah it is worth it even if it isn’t a perfect system.

  • I suppose it will come in handy next year when we go on our inland Australia trip

  • They are excellent protection from the fun for little ones. I’ve always used them and they calm my worries

  • I haven’t found any that are good – most just seem to fall off and only cover part of the backseat not all of it.

  • Yes, they are wonderful! They don’t completely screen out the sun but they stop the harmful really glarey bits. I’ve used them and love them

  • We have sunshades, ours are like socks that go over the window, but the material still lets air come in if you have the window open. Ours seems to shade our bubs, our issue is the sun coming in through the boot window (we have a hatchback).
I don’t think they will be shaded 100% but it is better then having nothing at all.
