Hello!

Ok, so I keep getting these insane stabbing like sensations on my cervix ( I think ) it’s in that area anyway. It generally only happens when I’m walking so when I’m doing food shopping ill get this awful shooting stabbing feeling in my cervix and it happens maybe every 5 minutes when I’m active.
I never experienced this with my 1st two boys so its a new thing for me. I’m 36 weeks and have a MW appt on Wednesday so will mention it to her as well.

  • Probably pressure from bub or the way he/she is positioned

  • Doctors are the best ones to answer that! Hope all went well

  • I would surely go see ur gp. Hope all goes well.

  • I was thinking maybe bub is sitting on a nerve. That could account for the pain. Hopefully that is all it is and everything goes as planned. Take care and good luck.

  • Thanks girls, I seem the MW and she said it was totally normal and it’s just but putting pressure on my bits seems as though its my 3rd bub very normal. She even said she remembers having the same thing happen with her pregnancies.

  • get peace of mind with the dr, i had something similair they couldnt diagnose

  • Definitely get your doctor to check, could just be the baby’s position, might have to get them to move!!!

  • Best to get it checked out, could just be the way the bub is positioned!

  • definitely check with your doctor.

  • definately get it checked out better to be safe than sorry good luck

  • The best thing you can do is get it checked out, as you feel nervous about it, it means your body is trying to tell you something.

  • It could just be your body reacting to the relaxin in your system, hopefully your midwife can put your mind at rest, the body does behave a little differently after each pregnancy!

  • Whatever iti I would suggest getting it checked by your doctor or midwife just in case though I may just be your body preparing for childbirth. I wish you luck and hope labor goes smootly.

  • I would try and make an earlier appointment. It’s likely it may just be stretching, but always good to get these things checked out.

  • I would book in earlier to have this looked at.
