Hello!

I’ve just finished the Dress Maker but am stuck as to another good book to read. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Love and Virtue by Diana Reid
    Honeybee by Craig Silvey
    American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins

    The Dry by Jane Harper
Where the Crawdads sing by Delia Owens

    Anything by Belinda Alexandra

  • The Help :)

  • The little coffee shop of kabul is a lovely easy holiday reading book.
Delicious is good too by Ruth Reichl

  • Try “In The Quiet” – a brilliant, moving read. Australian too; and it was published in 2015 so should be widely available.

  • A bit different to the dressmaker but I recently enjoyed ‘the rosie project’ and the rosie effect. Australian comedy. Pretty lighthearted and easy to read

  • Dymocks has released their top 101 book list – maybe take a look at it for some ideas too. It is a good list and has given me some new books to read and some old favourites to re-read.

  • I have recently started reading a book called beautiful. I am also half way through Ellen’s latest book.

  • The Girl in the Spiders Web is the name of the fourth book in the Millenium series. The millennium series is a good read if you like grittier books.

  • If you read the trilogy of The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, then the fourth book is now out. It’s well worth a read and I guess it wouldn’t be fully necessary to have read the first three as there are references to what happened, but it was good to have read them. I think it was called The Girl on the Spider’s Edge.

  • The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman is a fantastic book & Kate Morton’s The Forgotten Garden, i loved them both!

  • Jodie Taylor’s Just One Damn Thing After Another is really great. She’s got such a sassy writing style and this book had me hooked from chapter one.
    Happy reading :)

  • Do you want to read something Australian? You could try Monica McInerney. All her books are lovely! I enjoyed very much “Emerald Springs” by Fleur McDonald, “House of All Seasons” and “Simmering Season” by Jenn McLeod.

  • the judges cat, anything by jodi picoult, stephen king has lots of great stories

  • The Bronze Horseman by Paulina Simmons or Destiny by Sally Beauman
