Hello!

I’ve seen a few ads for magnetic eyelashes – looks like a great product, has anyone tried them out? Good or bad result? How much did you pay? Where did you buy them from?

  • I have a set that I’ve tried to use, however find them way too finicky so gave up.

  • I’ve read reviews for these lashes and the reviews are not good. Apparently they are not that easy to get on and do damage your own lashes if you use them too often.

  • I’ve seen them advertised on tv and thought about buying some as Xmas presents, I didn’t get around to it though. They definitely look easy to use and very effective

  • I’ve seen the ads too but haven’t used them. I wonder how you get them off. Do you pull them off? And if so, doesn’t that weaken your own lashes?

  • I’ve yet to try them. I’ve also seen them come up as an ad on my FB feed. I would love to try them but would be keen to see them in the real first. I like that they seem easier than applying false eyelashes that I’ve never had any success doing and certainly less expensive and less maintenance than the ones you have applied at a salon.

  • I just saw these come up as an ad on my Facebook. A few people commented saying that they don’t work, but I can’t say personally.

  • I went to Priceline and asked if they sell them and they said they did not.
On eBay there are over one thousand listings for these! They all seem to be hand-made, so I presume someone has glued a tiny magnet on to a pair of false eyelashes? The product description says that they can be re-used up to 25 times and that mascara should be applied on to your eyelashes first to help the magnetic eyelashes to stay in place.
I bought 2 pairs (which is 8 pieces because you need 2 pieces per eye) for just over $5 with free postage. When they have arrived and I have tried them out I will post an update if anyone is interested…

  • Thanks for the explanation Mom210653 – I am intrigued and will keep my eye out for them. :)

  • I’ve just seen these advertised recently too! Quick and easy to apply and ranging between $8-$20, seem like a good idea! Will be interesting to hear if anyone has tried them too!

  • I have never heard of them either but I too am intrigued.

  • From the ads that I have seen they are reusable false lashes. Instead of gluing them on to your lashes, they come as two magnetic half strips that you apply to either side of your lashes (like a sandwich is how one website described them). I’m keen to hear if anyone has tried them and any more info…

  • I have never ever heard of them – how do they work?

  • I haven’t heard of them but would like to know more!
