Hello!

How much milk are you giving your 18 month old in a day, including on cereal?

  • Try to give your child at least 350ml of milk a day, or 2 servings of foods made from milk, such as cheese, yoghurt or fromage frais. Semi-skimmed milk can be introduced from the age of 2, provided your child is a good eater and growing well for their age.
However one-year-olds no longer need formula, and can now switch to whole milk. Some toddlers never drink milk; if that’s the case with your child, please don’t force it. Toddlers need the nutrients in milk — calcium and protein — but these nutrients are also available from other sources. Toddlers do not need milk.

  • We were ad hoc too. I just tried to make sure they weren’t drinking all their calories from milk!

  • i just went with the flow and the kids had whatever. i would give them toast or other things for breakfast too so that they had variety so yeah. kids love milk though.

  • What ever they want, my children weren’t fussy when it can to milk they loved it, whether it would be breast or cows milk they have what they felt like
