I have a kindergartener and a 2nd grader, I also had a support team that insisted they new how to sign up for homeschooling in the middle of this pandemic, but literally the day before they left me hanging and said I can do it myself, but I have no idea where to go, how to do it, how to tell the school. It’s so stressful.

  • There might also be support networks /links for home schooling from Ed Dept?

  • Information about homeschooling in NSW is here: https://educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/regulation/home-schooling/home-schooling-registration
If you are in another state there will be a similar site.

  • An education department of a state/territory (where you live) should be able to assist or put you in contact with the right people and resources.

  • Its a big decision. Not sure if i will be able to do it

  • It’s not totally clear to me if you really want to start home schooling permanently or if it’s temporary measure due to covid ? in the case of the later, school should provide online tasks and you should be able to get support from the school. Drop an email and request a phonecall and express your concerns !
