  • there are heaps of quick and simple body scrub ideas on the net. or rocky road is usually a winner

  • Notebooks with pens wrapped together is something almost all mums can use.

  • Tea towels, pot plants, heat packs, photo frames, hand paintings

  • Heat packs are easy to sew and cheap. I\’ve also made fabric pouches that the mums LOVE, a little longer to make but not too long or expensive. Here\’s a tutorial that\’s similar to how I make them: http://www.threadingmyway.com/2012/06/denim-fabric-baskets-tutorial.html. I\’ve also bought wooden geometric beads from Ali Express and made necklaces, the mums raved about these and they are super cheap – less than $2 each to make. (The last pic are cheap sleep masks that a friend\’s mum embroidered for me. We included some ear plugs as a cute \”Mum sleep in\” pack).

  • There are some great suggestions here!

  • Bookmarks, key rings, little cases for packs of tissues – all are small, useful, not too expensive.

  • Making bathbombs would be great and the kids can help with this and then packing in pretty little bags from the cheap shop. Salt dough ear rings, or fridge magnets again the kids can help with this and you can usually buy magnets from cheap shops to.
