Hello!

I know it should be something I’m happy to throw away after, but are singlets/pants/shorts a good option, or a nightie? I expect I may end up with little on in the end but looking to remain modest at the start at least!! What have other mums worn?

  • A nightie. When yours waters break you don’t want pants on

  • A hospital gown. I didn’t care in the least about it and I was too busy to care what I looked like.

  • I had a t-shirt type nightie. It was loose and comfortable.

  • I just wore an oversize tshirt

  • I wore an oversized baggy tshirt and mostly no pants while in labour

  • A hospital gown! The hospitals I’ve given birth at supply a gown for the birth process. I didn’t even consider wearing my own clothes! There’s so much mess when giving birth, you probably wouldn’t want the clothes back. And you’re not thinking about anything except getting bub out, trust me, modesty isn’t on your to do list. Lol

  • A nightie…until I showered then the rest was done natural.

  • Loose T shirt and shorts

  • The hospital made me change into a gown as soon as I got there, before that I have no idea what I had on, it was the last thing on my mind.

  • yeah try a nightie or old shirt. it will also allow you to throw it away after instead of taking it home to wash.

  • As long as it is washable and comfortable , it doesn’t matter what you wear. At the start, and you will appreciate the modesty of say a nightie. Later on, you will not care so a t-shirt worked well for me.

  • If you want to wear something a pretty button through cotton housecoat, not shorts as can be moved or removed more easily. Be comfortable nothing tight or restricting as you will be in labour. all the best to you and new baby

  • Gown or nightie; both will work well.

  • i just had on my hubby’s old shirt

  • Ha Ha, I can’t remember what I was wearing I think a hospital gown.
