  • I think the frozen soundtrack would be a great place to start as well!

  • Good luck! I must admit to not knowing much about current ‘pop’ music other than feeling like an old fuddy duddy and hating it!

ABBA would be fun! Maybe something like early Kylie Minogue or Bananarama? Maybe even go way back to Motown and 60s?! Poppy, dancey and generally, pretty clean.

  • Soundtracks from different cartoons are a great idea. And pretty much guarantees it’s age appropriate and no mothers will complain.. Except maybe about their child singing Let it go all day after your party!

  • it is hard to suggest age appropriate stuff that doesn’t come straight from a cartoon or kids movie. The music industry looks like it made for adults but is targeted to kids and the messages that the “artists” put out their aren’t good or they are double entoundra ‘s

  • ‘Frozen’ seems to being getting a lot of votes! ;) The good thing with Frozen is the opportunity to be able to buy party items that go with the soundtrack/songs. :)

  • have you heard of frozen??? just checking lol I think maybe you could google this or ask your 5 year old what her favorite songs are, maybe some with dances like the wiggles have?

  • The Frozen soundtrack would be a winner! Can you imagine the sound of the vocals in your home on the day!

  • The frozen soundtrack would be a great place to start but why not teach them the dance moves to some old favourites like the nutbush, the macarena, the chicken dance or the hokey pokey. Anything with dance moves is great as once they learn it they will always be able to dance to it.

  • I suggest you go to the library and borrow a selection of CD’s and sample them and see what you like and deem as appropriate. They will have a selection of DVD’s too with dance videos; again choose a selection and vet them to see if they are appropriate. Have a fun party! :)

  • Why not some pop like Katie Perry.

  • Frozen soundtrack would be a winner for sure!

  • My daughter teaches dance to little girls and the favourite at the moment is the sound track to Frozen. Also you can google “Kidz Bop” which is a compilation of pop songs without swear words. Hope they have lots of fun.

  • Go to your local library and hire a few out and test them out at home to see which ones they like. there are masses of party compilations.

  • why not try the Beatles? Their Yellow Submarine album has great happy, boppy tunes in particular.
