  • I see this is an old question. I hope your son isn’t worrying anymore ! What did you do to help him ?

  • Have you tried to ask why he feels like that?
Sometimes a big move can be traumatic.
Are there other factors? Is school work harder? Is he being bullied? Is he sensitive?

If it continues, maybe get some talk therapy if he is continues to have anxiety.

    All the best!

  • I would sit him down and ask him what’s going on at school this behavior isn’t normal good luck hope you find out what’s upsetting your son hun.

  • I would definitely be trying to work out exactly why he is so worried while at school.

  • I hope everthing has worked out well for your little boy, and there wasn’t anything really wrong with him being so upset

  • Hope you manage to find an answer and can successfully help your son through this difficult time.

  • That’s a little like anxiety. Maybe get an assesment done

  • I would say that there’s either something going on at school, of something has happened at home to give him reason to worry about you. I hope things have improved

  • I think a good chat, maybe with a third party, might be needed. Sounds like there is something going there.

  • He is clearly out of his comfort zone. Sounds like something a little more than missing u. Something more going on at school

  • This must be so hard for you. Could it be anxiety if so you could talk to your gp

  • maybe something has happened with other kids or he finds the teacher strict,it is very hard to change schools, maybe stay back a short time when you drop him off do some class reading or something like that.also you can sneak a peak how he is when you have left, talk to his teacher.

  • Has he been picking up on any anxiety you may have been having (eg did you move to a new town as well, or why did he actually start a new school?). If you can rule out bullying (which you should consider as it is very widespread, but if your teacher is telling you he is fine at school, maybe he has just some anxieties about the whole thing, just be gentle and spend lots of time with him and reassure him that you are happy.

  • Try reassuring him, talk to his teachers and ask him what he does not like at school.

  • Sometimes kids have a delayed reaction to new things- he may have started out imagining it would be a certain way, and now he is facing the reality, he is finding it does not match his expectations. Be kind and understanding and I am sure he will adjust in time.
