Is bub teething? This causes a dribbling problem in babies. It’s just a stage they go through, there’s nothing you can do to stop it. Try keep the area dry, use petroleum jelly on the area if it gets sore to protect it from moisture. They’ll grow out of it
Especially when babies are teething it’s normal that they are dribbling. My 3 year old girl with Down syndrome goes at the moment through more teething (it’s common for kids with Down syndrome to have their teeth late) and she dribbles as well.
The saliva can be aggressive to the skin and they also swallow extra saliva. Since there are digestive enzymes in the saliva, the increase of saliva can cause diarrhea (and with that increase chance on nappy rash). So gently drying and skin care is important !
