Is there any way to fix my husband’s snoring?

  • How far away is where he sleeps in comparison to where your baby sleeps?

  • A tennis ball pinned to his PJ.s back will stop him rolling over which is when the snoring get’s bad! If all else fails get him to see his doctor for everyone’s sake!

  • Your mental health should be at the top of your list right now and that means good sleep. Absolutely move you and bub to somewhere else to sleep till he gets it sorted. I put up with it for 15 years and three kids. No sleep, depression, anger, it eventually led to the end of us. He never cared enough to get it checked or fixed and I had enough.


  • Snoring could indicate sleep apnea, a serious sleep disorder where your breathing is briefly interrupted many times each night. Normal snoring doesn’t interfere with the quality of your sleep as much as sleep apnea, so if you’re suffering from extreme fatigue and sleepiness during the day, it could be an indication of sleep apnea or another sleep-related breathing problem. Call your doctor if you or your sleep partner have noticed any of the following red flags:
    You snore loudly and heavily and are tired during the day.
    You stop breathing, gasp, or choke during sleep.
    You fall asleep at inappropriate times, such as during a conversation or a meal.
    Linking the cause of your snoring to the cure;
    Monitoring your snoring for patterns can often help you pinpoint the reasons why you snore, what makes it worse, and how to go about stopping it. To identify important patterns, it helps to keep a sleep diary (or use a sleep tracking app). If you have a sleep partner, they can help you fill it in. If you sleep alone, set up a camera to record yourself at night.


  • A visit to a GP is a good first stop to rule out any possible issues such as sleep apnoea. A GP should also be able to give advice, strategies and possible referral for further investigation.


  • I highly suggest a visit to his gp and ask about getting booked in for a sleep study ,
    He could have sleep apnea then go from
    There ! Good luck my partner is a very loud snorer to !! Wakes up our now 2 year old !


  • 1/ I suggest a visit to the GP for hubby to rule out any problems.
    2/ Chemists have numerous anti snoring devices.
    3/ Can you and bub move into a separate room away from hubby at night and close the door.

  • I kick or punch my husband till he moves to a new position – it’s often positional for him. And I know that sounds horrible, but he sleeps so deeply that even he tells me to kick him! I don’t injure him.
