  • You need to boost your immune system with heaps of fresh wholefoods, fruit with Vitamin C and there are many herbs that can help too, look it up on the internet.

  • My husband has terrible hay fever and has started to take a teaspoon of pure honey every day and that has helped tremendously. It has to be pure honey though, not heat treated like you get in the supermarket. It’s supposed to introduce pollens to your system slowly so that your system gets used to them

  • What a great question would love to know the answers also

  • It helps if you can work out the causes. Some people get hayfever from things that others get asthma from. Even some foods can cause a type of hayfever. I know one person who has very slight allergies to some foods including eggs, peanuts and some others. He is limited how many eggs he can eat a week and the same applies to some other foods. Some grasses (especially the seeds whether green or dry), shrubs and big trees can be major causes – not just the ones that flower.
Some it can be that S the leaves dry out and break down which may not be obvious until the brown off. Some plants seem to attract dust to their leaves. Some plants if you tough them at all may not only make you itchy it may give you hayfever. One plant we had none of us could get it out because the roots were huge so when I had to cut it back I cut it back very hard. I tried to poison it a few times but it didn’t kill it. I even put one of the roots in a tin of poison mixed as directed for 2 weeks and kept topping the tin up. All it did was make some of the leaves go yellow and a few fall off. The boy’s Mum was told that he may later develop asthma. Fortunately that hasn’t happened but he still reacts very badly to some dry grasses and has special medication for it when needed. He only takes it when he won’t be driving at all for several hours for safety. He has changed medications a few times so I don’t know which one he uses now. I tried Vaseline but I found it blocked my nose even more and made it difficult to breathe. I now use a Vicks Inhaler which you can buy it the medicinal aisle in a Supermarket. I think the Pharmacies stock them too. It was a pharmacy I bought thm from originally. Some radio stations announce the predicted pollen count and advise people to stay indoors if it is going to be high.

  • I have tried a combination of treatments from the chemist; it has been the only way to combat this season and hay fever.

  • Hayfever is the worst! It effects me and my eldest really badly. This is the first year I haven’t had days where my eyes are so puffy I cant leave the house…strange one.

  • Looking for some answers too! It has been a tough year for hay fever and allergies.

  • I used to get acupuncture for mine and it helped a bit.

  • I used to get hayfever so bad! I think it got better when I moved house. Must’ve been away from triggers. I feel like going to the beach helps! Also just running a tiny bit of Vicks under my nose helped too. Other than that, antihistamines… but I feel for you! Hayfever is awful!

  • I recently read of putting Vaseline just inside your nostrils. The particles that cause the hay fever are meant to get stuck in the vaseline, avoiding irritating your throats and lungs

  • Interested in this too worst year ever the pills are over drying and my nose is so sore inside I have tried saline sprays but no joy

  • Sorry I don’t have any but im very interested in some answers
