I absolutely love reading. Young adult fantasy. I’ve pretty much read them all. I like easy books to read. Any suggestions would be great

  • I go to a lot of local libraries. I’m lucky to have a few in my area

  • Anything by Jojo Moyes or Nicholas Sparks

  • I’d read reviews on Goodreads and then buy online.

  • Not sure where you live so no idea what shops you have. Here in Tas we have Shiploads. They regularly have heaps of super cheap, great reads. I stock up when I visit, brilliant reads

  • Isobel Carmody is my favourite young adult fantasy fiction.
She has series, but I think her standalone books are better.

  • Harlequin books have a young adult section on their website and I think you can follow them on Facebook. Allen and Unwin Teen have a Facebook page. Most Australian book publishers have newsletters and a site you can hunt for the type of books you like. Other publishers are Pan Macmillan, Hachette, Allen and Unwin and Harper Collins. Goodreads is a massive website that has reviews and genre sections.

  • Try –
‘The Throne of Glass’ series : by Sarah J Maas,
‘After’ series : by Anna Todd
‘Maze Runner’ series : by James Dashner
‘His Dark Materials’ : by Philip Pullman

  • I just did a review on one that was released August this year it is great! Great book to read! Where the Dead Go by Sarah Bailey.

From the first few pages this crime novel dragged me in. The character Gemma who is introduced early in the story, I related to her warmth straight away. Whilst dealing with her small son’s grief and being the main Detective on a missing girl case she has a lot to deal with. ‘Where the Dead Go’ is full of plots and twists and turns which keeps the reader on edge. Just when I thought I had worked it out I was surprised again.
The author Sarah Bailey has a simplistic style of writing that creates a visual picture of what is happening and to the point where I thought I was in the town with her questioning the missing girl’s boyfriend. Gripping tale of crime right to the very end. I would recommend reading this book and if you are into Crime this one is as accurate as they come. Brilliant story line and brilliant writing. Published by Allan and Unwin Australia. It is a winner!

  • Lynda La Plante is amazing!!!! Widows. Widows revenge. And dirty dozen.

I also love Cynthia Voight – homecoming.

  • Check out the library they always have the latest and greatest

  • Ask at your local library… Librarians live to offer advice about books.

  • Diana Gabaldon’s books are great! She writes Outlander and it is a great show. However I haven’t read the books. By all accounts I imagine they would be great!

  • Qbd have great staff who can offer recommendations

  • The outlander series is fantastic romance history time travel what more could you need

  • Your local library is your best bet. They should have quite a comprehensive range and they will order books for you from other libraries too. Scour the charity shops and car boot sales too.
