  • I think with any concern you should go back to the specialist. I often bring a note to write down all my questions and answers given down.

  • My husband has now had the needle in his spine and it did not work he came home from having it done and could not walk all that day and the next day he was very sore. He has now been back to the doctor and he has put him on the list to see a Spinal Specialist to have surgery. It is a very trying time for all our family at the moment as I am also waiting to see a specialist about my shoulder and am on waiting list for a Hernia repair. But with the help of God our family and friends we will get through it. Thank You all for your kind words.

  • My husband has had the needle and he could not walk properly for the rest of the day, the next day he could walk but only slowly. Now it is weeks later and the needle was no good. The doctor told him he now has to see a spinal specialist to see about surgery. It is a very trying time for all the family but we will get through it somehow.

  • Not too sure about this as I have no experience with pinched nerves. Hopefully someone has answered your query by now

  • My dad has a pinched nerve in the neck/shoulder region, he made need cortisone treatment or surgery.

  • Keep talking to your doctors. I didn’t want to go down the surgery path either and exhausted every option but unfortunately nothing gave enough relief to be functional. After a very long road to recovery I still have issues but can still run, work and do all the things I enjoyed prior to my back issues. I still have nerve issues but nothing that debilitates me anymore.

  • Thank You for your words of wisdom he is always in a lot of pain and the doctors have recommended surgery but he does not want to go down that path a second time so we play it one day at a time.

  • something I forgot to mention is that we are all different in how a drug works or doesn’t work in our systems.
Hold out hope that this WILL work for your husband and give him the relief he needs

  • Hi Tina,
I’ve got a lot of issues with nerves and such in my lower back and have had Facet joint injections followed by Rhizolysis because the facet joint injections worked so well.
I am sure that the folk your husband is under will be very skilled in what they are doing and will have looked into all other options to help your husband. Nerve pain is the PITS.
I am not sure that it will actually free the nerve, it may give them a bit of time and your husband some relief while they look into other longer term options.
Chronic back pain is not the easiest of beasts to deal with either for the person or their family.
I wish for you all the very best in your journey and relief for your husband.
I still have good and not so good days by the way :)
