Hello!

I love wine, however sometimes I come out in a mild rash, I’m wondering if there are any organic wines that I could drink that wouldn’t cause this rash? Any suggestions would be great.

  • if you get a rash it is one of two things you are either mildly allergic to alcohol or you are allergic to a preservative in the wine. wines are terrible for preservatives and it wont help buying organic as they will still have them (plus organic will gouge a higher price). i would make note which wines give you a reaction and track what preservatives they use

  • https://winou miebunker.wine/ is my favorite online wine shop. You can check them out.

  • Give Tamburlane wines a try.

  • Have you tried Angove’s organic Chardonnay?
Or you could try SO2go, can purchase it for around $5 at bottlo, the drops take the sulphur out of the wine…somehow!

  • I’ve heard Tambulane are good. Maybe you should try one and tell us if the rash still appeared

  • Interesting topic! ! Its very interesting reading the comments on this as well!

  • It will be interesting to see if the organic wine makes a difference to your rash. As it could be something else

  • Some great comments here, I also have an issue with not just wine but any alcohol, I get a rash and burn up. It’s really annoying.

  • there are some good comments here

  • Thanks I suffer from headaches if I drink just one glass of wine with sulphites

  • Thanks so much ladies for all your advice and even brand suggestions. I too seem to have problems with some white varieties and cider more so than red, in terms of reaction to ingredients. I saw in Coles liquor land when I was purchasing a red that there was an organic version- not sure about white though.

  • It may be an additive that causes the rash. Many wines contain sulphites, these can also cause a reaction in asthmatics. Try avoiding wines with sulphites or other additives and see how you go.

  • I know Wild Fox wines are certified organic. Not sure about any others but there must be lots.

  • Maybe it is not the organic or non organic that is causing the rash? Could it be the contents in wine that is causing it?
