Hello!

I had some pasta salad at a luncheon and it had a slight curry taste in it and it was so nice and asked around and no one can help me with a recipe.

  • This is my go to favourite Italian pasta salad recipe. There is a little prepping to do, but it’s worth it as it’s a winner in my family.

  • There are nice pasta salad recipes in Woolworths food msg this week,no curry though!

    • 4 tsp rogan josh curry paste
    • 150g pot natural yogurt
    • juice ½ lemon
    • 2 tbsp mango chutney
    • 50g sultana
    • 15g pack coriander , chopped
    • ½ cucumber , deseeded and diced
    • 2 celery sticks, diced
Boil the pasta in salted water for 8 mins. Drain, then cool under the cold tap.

  • Can’t help but I like the idea of curry taste in it

  • The Best Recipes site has a great Curried Pasta Salad recipe & I hav elapsed tasted the one from the Australian Women’s Weekly cook book/ site which has cream & curry powder ????

  • Good idea by the mum/answer below to go to the source and ask about the particular salad.

  • I have a similar problem – I had a boxed lunch from a cafe in the USA while I was on a tour, loved the pasta salad, and can’t find a similar recipe. I emailed them to ask, but they didn’t answer – not even a No! Woe.

  • Curried Pasta Salad
    Ingredients:
250g spirals pasta shapes cooked cooled
1 tea spoon Keens Curry Powder (add more if you like a stronger taste)
    1 cup mayonnaise
Half a Red Capsicum sliced thinly or diced
    1 carrot julienned or grated
Half cup frozen Baby Peas or Beans
1 table spoon of pine nuts for crunch
    Method
Mix all together in a serving bowl and chill in the fridge until ready to serve.
You can add shredded Chicken or a tin of tuna (drained) or Prawns makes a nice change.

  • Did you try asking the person who organised the luncheon where they got it from or if they made it, if you can have the recipe?
I always find going to the source the easiest option rather than going around in circles trying to find an answer.

  • Yes I agree, I would google maybe “curried pasta salad”

  • I make my salad with below ingredients
    1. Cooked pasta usually penne
    2. Whole egg Mayo
    3. Tomatoes cut into cubes
    4. Red onion diced

Sometimes I will add cooked bacon, cucumber diced and whole eggs cut in 4s

Mix all together, salt pepper to taste.

  • Our classic Women’s Weekly recipe book has a curried salad. We love curried potato and curried pasta salads too. We love to add a little curry to salads for a lift.

  • Have you tried to search it on google? There are so many recipes on the internet!
