Hello!

“Good morning, I love reading the questions and encouraging responses to help other mums out there and am hoping someone might be able to help me with a potty issue with my gorgeous 3.5yr old cherub. My 3.5 yr old has been toilet trained for No1’s since just before turning 2.5 yrs old and happily uses the big toilet for this. She has done No2 in the potty since just before turning 3, however no matter what I try I cannot seem to encourage her to do No2 on the big toilet. She has a special butterfly step, i read books to her and we also chose a special toilet seat to go on the big toilet. She works herself up so much and just is adamant that she doesn’t want to use the big toilet. Sometimes it becomes a little difficult if we are out as she will hang on until she gets home to potty. Any help would be gold – thank you so much:) Thank you so much.” Do you have any potty training tips?

  • maybe a small rewards each time he goes

  • How did this story end? My sister is going through something similar and I would love to hear your tips.

  • About to start toilet training too so glad to hear from other mums about this.

  • i hope it went well :)

  • Hope you managed to find the answer you were looking for.

  • Good luck and hopefully they will learn soon

  • How did your training go?

  • How did you end up going?

  • If she goes to kinder or day care their toilets are smaller – maybe see if they could encourage her to use those ones – and if she sees other kids doing it , may help.

  • It seems so frustrating the process of potty training, don’t stress too much, all of a sudden they will just get it one day and never look back.

  • Thanks heaps for posting, was also wondering. :P

  • I hope things have improved

  • My daughter was similar but she used to hide in her room or under the table to poo. You just have to keep gently encouraging her to do it on the big toilet. Be patient, it will happen.

  • Once my daughter decided she wanted to go it didnt take long just got to keep reminding them to go to the toilet if they need my daughter started 2 weeks ago and is 2 and a half and is now fully toilet trained

  • My daughter was the same. Can’t remember wot I did but it just takes time!
