  • Do I need second script of champix if I’m not sure if I can give the smokes up

  • I’ve never heard of it but I hope it helps you! Good on you for taking that 1st step. I quit cold turkey when I was about 20 an my hubby has struggled for years. He quit for 2 years and then hired an apprentice that smokes and he ended up smoking again and had 2 or 3 failed attempts. He quit in November cold turkey again and hasn’t touched one since. He also quit coffee to take away the that temptation ( of coffee and smoke before work )
    Good luck!

  • I would love to quit as well, i refuse to try any of the medications though as i have heard of some people getting real bad side effects. My mother in law tried one of the pills – not too sure which one it was but she got very depressed and angry and just was not herself. She said she would never recommend them to anyone.

  • I think Champix has superseded Zyban with it being the more preferred choice with less side effects but there will still be some.I urge you to ring QUIT for that professional support as there is a better success rate of quitting for good with their support than going it alone. Good on you for taking that first step in deciding to quit & good luck with your journey down that very bumpy road

  • I would love to quit smoking.. my hubby just quit. I’m not that strong. Would love to see What others have to say as well. :-)

  • I’ve just starting using the inhaler as a product trial. But I have strong will power and can quit cold turkey. It must be hard for you :-( stay positive about quitting :-)

  • It’s excellent that you have decided to quit smoking. I actually quit cold turkey so have no experience with quit smoking aids. Good luck!

  • I haven’t, but well done on deciding to give up smoking. I wish you lots of luck with it. I’m sure you’ll feel so much better.

  • I never used zyban as went cold turkey it will be 5 years 25th august this year,
i think if you really want to give up then you will just do it, you need to pick a day and stick to that day, if it means not seeing friends who smoke for a week or so I’m sure they will understand.
I really hope this works for you as i know how much better i am since stopping good luck.

  • I had zyban for the 1st time 6 years ago and it work great, unfortunatly i started smoking agin 2 years ago and went back on them to help this time it didnt work i got severe depression and seriously wanted to kill my husband, I couldnt sleep and hated the world, felt so much better within days when istopped them, Now booked in for hypnosis fingers X this will work for me

  • I tried Zyban and also Champix, and neither went down well with me, partly upset stomach and partly because of other medication I’m on. I’ve found greatest success with electronic cigarettes and nicotine patches. Wish it was as easy to give up smoking as it is to take it up.

  • My mum was on Zyban and went great, i got put on Champix and reacted badly so they wouldnt use zyban with me. Good luck and good on you for trying to quit.

  • I tried that and had an allergic reaction but while I was on them I do cut down alot and I about to attemp my second try of Champax as my last try of these 5 years ago did nothing

  • i havent heard of this one but I have heard may good things about champix

  • never heard of this brand before would be interesting to see how people go with it
