  • Yes, one of my foster kids which we have under a legal guardianship order was diagnosed with RAD at age 5 or so with impulse controle disorder (kleptomania very severe) in the context of RAD. Also diagnosed with Conduct disorder early onset at age 9 and before that ODD. At age 12 the diagnosis of Developmental Trauma Disorder was added.

  • Sounds like this child has had a rough start to life. With issues such as this, I would recommend a visit to the professionals


  • littlehandsofmine – Google is really great with these sorts of things but it is when your child hasn’t been able to bond or attach themselves to the one caregiver. If they have been moved from house and care giver to the next house and caregiver so are unable to form a bond with anyone.


  • What exactly is this? I haven’t heard about this before.


  • Have you spoken to a professional? What was the child’s background, did something happen earlier in life? It can be mistaken for something else too, like autism.
