Looking for budget conscious products that are organic/near organic/natural that you are using? For older kids, not babies.

Also, at what age would you start kids on adult (organic) products?

  • There’s a great Australian brand called Natralus that specialises in organic baby products like shampoo, body wash, massage oil, nappy cream etc.

  • I used supermarket brands like Johnson & Johnson, but these are not organic.

  • I use organic coconut in ends of my childrens hair. Their scalp I rub in olive oil with a comb once a month for pampering. Not in excess.

  • I think organics are good fro everyone , but it is dearer as they always have special ingredients etc. You can find them at health food stores and supermarkets. I find the health food stores can give good advice on what they sell as well .

  • To this day , I still think the best shampoos are the ones Baby shampoo items found in supermarkets ( unless there is a reason why you cant use them ). It is so gentle I even use it no and then . These days you can find organic at health food stores and pharmacys . I don’t think there is an age when you can start , but if you don’t like soap or sls additives , organic I think is the next best option .

  • There are so many organic products now at supermarkets and health food stores now. It is best to go to the hair products isle to have a browse as normally they have the words ” natural ” or organic ingredients . Normally packaging is either in a tinted bottle or showing some flowers/herbs pictures to indicate it is from “nature “. They shouldn’t be too dear as I sometimes see them on sale for even $2.00. I am thinking about changing hair care to organics too as I don’t like too many chemicals going onto my sensitive scalp.

  • aveeno baby might be ok. i know that david babaii has a great range of natural products.

  • Dermaveen or Sukin both have a shampoo and conditioner available. Sukin has a couple of different types, both are budget friendly.
