I was wondering if anyone knew how to get a blood stain out of sheets as my son seems to have blood noses overnight? I have previously soaked them but they are not shifting. Thank you

  • Napisan has always worked on blood stains for me. Also some spray on stain removers work well.

  • like the other ladies have said soak it with napisan oxiaction in COLD water as hot water will make the blood set and make it near on impossible to remove. good luck.

  • My son also gets blood noses and it can create quite a mess, especially if they rub their face while still asleep. I Have a large nappy bucket that I pop the sheets and pillowcases into with a pretreater like oxyaction for at least a day before washing, just make sure you have a lid on your container if you intend to do this!

  • i would soak in a cold water mix of nappysan oxi action

  • Soak in napisan for a few hours – hot water

  • Napisan works wonders, pre treat the stains with a paste mixture.

  • I use vanish or if they are white bleach them may be the only option.

  • Blood stains are hard to remove if u don’t attack them almost instantly. You can try a good swim remover or soak but it may not work if the stains have been there too long

  • A pre treater will help even the cheap ones. Some washing liquids have pretreaters you can use in the wash. The important thing is to get to the stain quickly.

  • Treat with Preen oxi-action – when you spray it on you can see it fizz up and start working if it is blood. Let it soak in for a while before washing.

  • I suggest flushing the stain with cold water & washing with shampoo, this should work if you get onto it straight away :)

  • Same remedy as for all of the other stains I encounter (and my husband works on cars so there are a lot of oil based or grease stains to deal with). I use Dominant Booster and Soak and they also have a pre-wash stain remover. I use the pre-wash spray and then alsoI soak overnight in a strong solution of the booster and soak. I’ve done this with all sorts of stains: oil, spaghetti, grass, dye, blood etc and it has worked every time. Unfortunately, you can only get the stuff if you order online or from a rep.
