Hello!

How do I remove dye transfer from coloured clothes? I am going crazy with the number of whites that are getting ruined – HELP! and advice would be much appreciated, thanks MoMs.

  • I agree;
    -separate white from coloured wash
    -add colour-run sheets to the load of wash
    -use napisan to reduce damage (this will be harder when you have washed on high temperature)

  • Firstly, to avoid the colour transfer, why aren’t you washing your whites separately? Secondly, to remove it after the fact, a soak in Napisan should remove most of it

  • Vanish – Napisan, whatever it is called…. Works great, and also the sun is a great bleacher

  • Never heard of colour catcher – I wash whites by themselves

  • Sounds good! Really interesting comments read on this!

  • My daughter has started using a Colour Catcher and says they are great

  • There used to be a product called Dylon Colour Run remover which came in single use sachets i n the laundry products section but not sure if it is still available. it was a miracle worker though. might be worth contacting Dylon to find out if it is still available anywhere.

  • In the laundry powder section of the supermarket …buy some colour catcher

  • If they are whites I wash them straight away in a little bleach and washing powder, if colours try napisan.

  • Wash colours and whites separately! But if a white snacks into the colours load then soak in napisan straight away then rewash. Don’t let it dry before soaking, this will help the colour to wash back out.

  • Always was h whites separately and in cold water. As for the stains you have on your whites it depends on what colours they are. If they are red, pink and orange you can spray with white vinegar and hang on the line with some sunlight … then was again. Otherwise you can also soak in Napisan.

  • If it’s a plain white top etc then the runaway helps but I’ve used this product with a print & it leached the colour from that too. This is why I always still do a white wash.

  • As someone else mentioned mix up some napisan in warm water and soak but keep an eye on it should remove the colour

  • Runaway works wonders but definetly if not sure wash separey

  • there are some good comments here
