Last night we had pizza & I placed it on the table instead of a placemat when hot & now we are left with a nasty white looking stain on the table. How can I remove this?

  • try rubbing with a neutral smelling oil to add colour back

  • I would sand the entire top and stain it!!

  • The walnut shell sounds interesting – would love to know if that works

  • Depends what the table is made from. If it’s wood, then try rubbing the area with the inside of a walnut shell, as that stain will cover nearly anything.

  • I’ve tried the iron trick before and it has worked – worth a shot

  • Oops, it will be permanent. Rubbing some furniture polish may disguise it a bit. Look up Shannon Lush’s site, she may have a suggestion.

  • use some oil stains it does the job :)

  • I’m going to try Trizzle’s idea out on my coffee table.

  • I would try a light sand of the entire top

  • My mum had the same issue on her coffee table, I’ve attached screen shot pic of what she tried, it worked for her so it may be worth a try, good luck :)

  • i hope you had some success

  • there are some good comments here

  • i have no idea i have some on my coffee table im keen 2 see your answers

  • Happens to me aswell. I use hot water on a cloth

  • I just did the same thing! I am going to rub a bit of wooden furniture oil over it. Hopefully that works because it looks awful!
