How successful are rewards charts? I have started to do them with my child and have had success though I wanted to know what other Mums’ thoughts were?

  • My daughter’s kindergarten teacher would use reward charts and it really motivated all the children.

  • We have had a lot of success with reward charts with both our kids. We have used them for behavioural issues (one of mine was biting other kids so we rewarded him for good days when he didn’t bite), toilet training and getting one of our children to stop sucking her fingers.

  • Some kids love them and some don’t. Depends on what motivates them but if it’s working for you keep it going.

  • Chore charts can be fun too.

  • Chore charts are terrific and as long as there is consistency they achieve desired results.

  • They can work really well and are brilliant for training children to co operate with the house chores and homework. The gold stars were a hit!
