Hello!

My parents were really big on electric toothbrushes when I grew up but my partner doesn’t agree we should spend the money for our kids. What do other mums think? I want to do the best I can for them…

  • Yes! I love electric toothbrushes and think they’re definitely worth the money. You can usually get them half price and once you have them replacing the heads is no different to replacing your toothbrush. They let you know when you’ve brushed long enough which is really handy for kids and I just feel like you get a much better clean overall.

  • I don’t think it matters – the crucial thing is teaching them to clean their teeth properly.

  • I must say yes do buy as it is more effective and easy to use!

  • Waste of money – normal toothbrushes work great

  • My daughter used her electric toothbrush only once before going back to the manual one.

  • I have owned three – they really freak me out though. I have given them all away. They make my head vibrate…

  • I found my kids soon list interest in the electric toothbrush, they were great for a while. Myself, I found I pressed too hard a had to get new heads regularly. They probably do a better job at cleaning tho. As a kid, I only ever had a normal toothbrush, so did my partner. As long as the kids brush regularly and properly, which brush they use is irrelevant

  • I prefer manual toothbrush but I did buy eclectic toothbrush for my now 5 year old and it seem to run out of battery very quickly. So now I have gone back to manual toothbrush for her too.

  • My boys wanted one for years but I put it off until they were both 10 and able to clean their teeth properly with a normal toothbrush

  • I love my electric toothbrush but I think start kidlets on a toothbrush easier for camping and travel.

  • No what happens when you run out of batteries. Abit of hand exercise is good for you

  • Electric toothbrushes clean teeth better than a manual toothbrush can. Advise your husband that it is an investment in the family’s health. Better oral hygiene means reduced chance of cavities, gingivitis and it’s associated costs.

  • Love electric toothbrushes. Good for cleaning teeth. The initial outlay may be more expensive than regular toothbrushes; however the heads last longer.

  • also make it a present or a reward.show hubby how it will be better with youtube vids

  • i think that you should do it because when they are little they don’t brush properly so this really helps
