Hello!

“I was wondering if you could help me put this question out to your likers on what they would do if they found a dark and scary story (called ‘The Maniac on Camp’) on their son’s computer. I want him to hand it in to his teacher to show his creativity but he is very concerned that they will get angry at him. I would so appreciate any feedback!”

  • I see no reason why you shouldn’t submit it. He is very creative and teachers love to read creative stories kids have done. Reassure him that his teacher won’t be angry.

  • If it’s well written, encourage him for sure. But you need to respect his feelings as to why he doesn’t want to and accept his final decision

  • I would encourage him to submit it.

  • Let him make the decision whether to share it or not. If you are concerned about the content of the story then you could make an appointment to speak to his teacher about your concerns

  • How did this go? did he hand the story in?

  • I think it really depends on the age of your child and whether the story is appropriate for his age group.

  • I think he should submit it

  • The fact that he is concerned is a little bit of a worry, i so hope you worked it all out

  • i guess it depends how scarey it is and what people will think of him

  • Submit it, as long as he understands the concept of fiction there is no issue.

  • What did you end up doing?

  • Did he end up handing it in?

  • Oh I’m sure his teachers wouldn’t be angry at him! I’d encourage him to submit it :)

  • what did you decide on?

  • They may question him about it but they shouldn’t get angry
