  • I personally don’t think it encourages bad behaviour. It’s more like a bonding session-play time. Dogs enjoy it and look forward to play time just like children.

  • No, it doesn’t encourage bad behaviour. It’s normal behaviour for puppies and dogs. My dogs love a good game of tug o war. Sometimes I let them win, sometimes I don’t.

  • I don’t think it encourages bad behaviour but you need to be careful not to damage their teeth.

  • It entertains them and is good exercise for them, especially when you don’t want to take them for a walk in bad weather – cold and damp or hot.A friend of mine had a dog which had a good toy for 7 years when I minded him. It still didn’t have a hole in it anywhere. It definitely had never been mended, not even the seams. He tugged it pretty hard too. I didn’t have to let go of it. It was only a fabric one too. He was smart though. He would gradually move his mouth up towards my fingers so I had to quickly change ends of it. It was the shape of a monkey.

  • Toys get kept in a special box for toys.
It is a good idea to keep them in the one place for play time.

  • We have played games with our pup since we had him and he loves it and we take him for walks too

  • Puppies love to play and need to play and having designated toys is a good way for them to learn to play with their toys and not other household items.

  • I don’t think it’s encouraging bad behaviour. Puppies love it and it’s a good way to connect with the owners. :-)
