Hello!

My 11 month old daughter has sleep regressed and is now waking every 2 hours. When she was younger she would do an 8 hour stretch. What are your tips for how I can improve her sleep? She is breastfeed, eats solids well and sleeps in a cot in her own room.

  • Maybe if there’s a day sleep cut it into a lesser time

  • Mine is 1 and ever since he was 7 months he is waking up very 15/30/45/60 minutes throughout the night.
    I have no tips.

  • How many naps is she having in the day and is it too close to bedtime? She seems to be ready to drop a nap if she’s still having more than 1

  • What is your night time routine like? My two children were terrible sleepers right from the start and once we started a regular dinner/quiet time play/shower/story then tuck in routine we found they settled well and eventually the night time waking stopped. It took time and hard work.

  • How long has it been going on for? Sometimes it’s a regression and they then imp again, sometimes it’s teething or similar. If it has been going on longer than 6 weeks see if you can get some help from a sleep specialist. If it’s just started has anything changed to cause it, check other signs of teething.

  • Babies and children go through lots of different sleep phases. Almost everything impacts their sleep. Things I would do include: checking temperature of the room, making sure bub has the appropriate amount of clothes and bedding, keeping a good bedtime routine. Their sleep changes so often I personally find it easier to just roll with it.
