  • Google baby led weaning – put it off a few weeks if possible but start with steamed sweet potato etc either pureed or really soft in finger food sizes

  • My 6 month old refused to eat rice cereal (farex) which we started him on around four and half months, and after 2 weeks of consistent struggle I started steaming pumpkin, broccoli and also mashed pear avocado and banana. He know eats most veggies and loves the fruit pouches but I wish he would eat more of the veggies.

  • Great! Really interesting reading the comments to this!

  • mine likes pumpkin, swee tpotato zucchini and carrot

  • Please cook your own fresh is best. I loved to cook my own so when you have dinner just blessed a little of what your having. .. Okay just a taste of this and that .. You will end up with a good little eater .. All my kids are great. My Grandaughter well there you go .. Only eats fish and salad …

  • Mashed banana, avocados, Apple sauce, steamed and puréed carrots, peas, potatoes, soft cooked rice all worked well for my little ones.

  • Start with veggies for a few days than some meats incorporated with veggies. Introduce fruit after a few weeks so bubs gets used to the veggie and meat taste.

  • get her used to vegies now and it will help you in the long run. Mashed pumpkin and peas is great. or some fruit like bananas or strawberries mashed up. avocados is a good one as well. good luck.

  • start with soft foods like banan and avocado

  • there are some good comments here

  • What ended up working for you?

  • try soft fruits and like pumpkin soup and things like that

  • we did the farex/rice cereal. Make it quite watery at first and only a few teaspoons. Always breast before food at this age. Or you could do the same with pear or apple.

  • Stick to easy foods like pureed pears as they are easy to digest.

  • How did you go with the solids?
