Hello!

Do you feel guilty if you do not buy a swag of easter eggs for everyone? With all the holidays we seem to have labour day, Australia day, Easter etc it all adds up. Do you still feel you should buy lots of colourful easter eggs, or do you decorate hard boiled eggs instead?

  • We celebrate hard – but always within our budget!

  • Chocolate eggs is not a must. Boiled and hand decorated fresh eggs are also cute. There are years I also baked easter breads

  • I buy eggs every year for my husband and do a trail leading to his big treasure pile of chocolate. Now we have a baby I can’t wait to do these things for our son too ????

  • we have not bothered with easter eggs in years. i do not see a point in chocolate trading with family for a religious holiday we do not even follow.

  • Yes, easter eggs are the best and I still get a Red tulip bunny from my mum.

  • Only for family

  • These days I only buy Easter eggs for my nieces and nephews.

  • I do for members of family that l see at Easter,l do love a chocolate easter egg!

  • I now buy blocks of chocolate as they are better value and you get more chocolate!

  • I love easter eggs! Although I think they come out way too early in the stores. I probably lowered my purchases before I had kids, but they’ve bought them right up! I like the little ones as that way they only have one or two and don’t get too much chocolate at once!

  • I don’t think you should feel guilty as I find others feel guilty if you buy something and they don’t . If I happen to have a catchup with a friend for example and it happens to fall on that Easter weekend I might by something small ( as a token ) but otherwise I don’t think it is necessary. I see some people might buy a bag of small eggs to give to everyone ( eg at work ) unless someone is very generous , but there is no right or wrong .

  • Yes,my kids are in there 20’s,& I have a 7 yo .They get cash & eggs.

  • Great! Its very interesting reading the comments on this too!

  • I only buy easter eggs for my son and nieces+nephews.
Once they reach a certain age, I won’t be.
That’s just how my family works though :)

  • I happily buy Easter eggs; love the colourful foil wrappers. They look great in a bowl or wrapped in cellophane.
