Hello!

What are some ideas to put into my children’s Christmas Stocking’s as filler’s? I have a 6.5 and 2x 3.5 year old daughters and depending on when this one comes maybe a December 2015 son arrive as well.

  • My kids really liked a few second hand bits and bobs we got at a baby and kids market – they were things I wouldn’t have normally bought them as they add to be quite expensive, but second hand they were a great price and they scrubbed up nicely.

  • why not put in some bubble wands or bubble mix.

  • Thank you! There are some really cool ideas, good to know now so I can start buying.

  • Some craft projects ,you get lovely pictures you stick lovely jewels on,Bella has a tinkerbell picture & Snow White. They are great. You get different activities with these stick on jewels. We always have a seperate stocking for lollies.

  • When I was little mine was partly filled with knickers, socks and singlets. And some goodies at the top.

  • Stickers is another idea that kids generally like!

  • Colouring books, pencils, crayons & textas, playdough, paints & paper, craft items, balls, novelty socks and t-shirts, bubble bath, bubbles, a sweet treat or two, books, games & toys.

  • I used to put some small books for my daughter when she was younger.

  • I recently saw on facebook that someone made a present for each child for Christmas eve. It was a small box that contained new pj’s, a dvd, popcorn and lollies. It was the Christmas eve box and meant the kids got to open a present on Christmas eve and watch the movie in their new PJ’s. For stockings, I always liked the little bubble blowers. They are always fun.

  • We always do new undies and socks. iTunes vouchers for the older ones, things like handballs, books, colouring pencils and stickers, dvd’s, matchbox cars, My boys are mad on skylanders or disney infinity characters so maybe 1 of them. Depends on what I grab on special through the year to what ends up in there.

  • Gosh, is it that time of year already? When did that happen?
I like books for stocking fillers. Especially if it’s your tradition to ‘open’ the stocking the evening before Xmas. Then you can all read together on Xmas eve :-)

  • some lollies? socks? small toys? hair clips?
