Hello!

My daughter starts school in the new year, I’m just wondering what parents think about buying name tags for her clothes and belongings, as opposed to just writing her name on things. What sites or places do you recommend for buying the tags?

  • If you want to look fancy, buy the tags or use somw wrapping paper and clear book cover to stick it on.
Remember the will grow out od the clothes quick and probably misplace half the items before they use them ????

  • I wrote on the inside of the clothes themselves and it worked well.

  • stuck on you is where we bought ours

  • I just wrote their names with permanent markers. I think they’re longer lasting and easier to update when fading starts to happen

  • http://www.spatz.com.au has really cute different personalised tags.

  • Make sure you get really good tags that don’t come off, I use the dymo machine,

  • I haven’t ever found any tags that work well and the ones that I have seen they still have lost a jumper or two because the tags can just be pulled off so writing on the tag in ink / texta is best at our sons’ school they write their name on their hat on the outside so you can immediately see who the child is and who’s hat it is.

  • I bought 2 different lots of the personalised labels from online shops that cost me a fortune and neither worked really well. You had to attach them to the products for at least 24 hours before use and then I found they wore off in a couple of weeks. You might be better off just writing in permanent marker or something like that.

  • i use iron on mine

  • Use what ever is easiest , but definitely label things as for the best site just do a google search for a fundraising label company, I think they are all much the same. Just find the one that has the best deal for what you want, even contact the school because sometimes they use one as a fundraiser and they can be registered with the company so they get benefits for everyone that purchases and lists them as who it is from.

  • Iron on or (if you’re handy with a needle and thread) sew-on labels for clothes are a must, and you can get stick-on labels with name and address from companies like Vistaprint very cheaply. No guarantee that it items are lost or stolen that they’ll be returned to you, but you can always hope.

  • I love the iron on labels for the kids clothes. And you can go to the two dollar shops and find stickers with names on them for quite cheap.

  • How did it go? Kids are a booming trade at the moment, there are cute gadgets for every aspect of baby and childhood life

  • i like the ones you can iron on

  • there are some good comments here
