Hello!

My son has shown interest in using the potty. This morning he did a little wee and I’m not sure where to go from here.. Do I just offer the potty too him every so often or leave his nappy off and let him go whenever? Any advice would be great.

  • that’s exactly it. Encourage it as much as possible, including on outings and when you go to the toilet.

  • I tried leaving a potty in the lounge room but my daughter just wasn’t interested. It was one of the ones that comes apart and you can put the seat on the toilet seat and use the rest as a chair. As soon as I did this she pretty much trained herself.

  • I left a potty in our main rooms so it was always there when my daughter wanted to go, she trained herself and quickly moved from potty to toilet. Just turned 3 last week and we have had no nappies during the day for about 8 months and none at night since Christmas.
