  • yeah my child does this too. really encourage it and ya know, even give them a book to read lol so that they relax enough.

  • I’ve heard that boys generally take a longer. In my opinion he’ll learn when he’s ready don’t worry yourself

  • what a great idea from LIZ007

  • i hope it worked out :)

  • Hope you managed to find the answer you were looking for.

  • What did you end up doing?

  • turn the tap on and the sound of running water may help him go

  • Some really great advice below.

  • liz007 I love your comment below, a snake for a wee and a chocolate for a poo. That is a great way to do it.

  • I used a lollie jar up high with chocolate frogs in it… A snake for a wee a chocolate for a poo … And at the end of the day a icecream for dry pants or for being very good…. I had my twins trained in four days…. Day and night they where three …

  • I’m about to embark on toilet training my little on so some great responses here. Thanks for the tips.

  • Put a target in the toilet and he had to aim for the red dot on the target sign (plastic sign), it might be fun at the same time learning to go to the toilet?

  • We made a toilet traing chart, with stickers he got a sticker each time he went when he filled the whole chart he got a lucky dip and each row of 5 stickers he got a lolly snake.. It took me a week at 3 yrs old and he hasn’t looked back, not sure if will work for you but it’s an idea

  • I hope your toilet training journey goes smoothly

  • With mine I found the best way is to take them out of nappies during the day while at home and put them in jocks, that way he can feel when hes wet. When he has an accident say ‘quick, lets go to the toilet’. He’ll eventually recognise the feeling of needing to go to the toilet, and going and sitting on it beforehand.
