Hello!

I have 500 gram of Turkey Mince.
I found a couple of recipes on this page but I didnt really want to make rissoles or pie.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I would really like to make a turkey meat loaf. Would anyone have a home cooked recipe, tried and tested?
I tried looking online but there was not all that much I found.

  • I like using turkey mince as substitute for beef mince in sang choi bow.

  • anything with mince can be substituted with turkey – ie bolognaise. I think its actually less fatty than red meat too?

  • I would think you could substitute Turkey mince with any other mince in recipes. Eg replace beef mince with Turkey mince in spaghetti bolognese or lasagne etc

  • I make Turkey and veggie sausage rolls .. Last batch was Turkey spinach onion and carrot
I also make spag bog using Turkey

  • Great reading the comments! Good ideas!

  • try making spring rolls with it or puff pastry triangles- curry puffs

  • Thanks for the meatloaf recipe. That sound delicious. I want to try it soon!

  • I make a meat loaf. If you have breadcrumbs, fish sauce, egg, 1/4 cup milk and whatever vegies are in the fridge. Combine all with 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, drizzle of fish sauce and add grated cheese. Mix altogether and cook for 40 minutes. I do take out and drain the fat, but I also line the base of the meatloaf with either bread or bacon.

  • Hope you have had some success in finding a recipe you like and making a tasty dish!

  • Turkey mince can used as a substitute in meatloaf and other mince recipes/dishes.

  • Turkey Meatballs are tasty. Just add tomato puree to the bowl of turkey mince, garlic paste, salt and pepper. Then roll them into balls, fry in a pan until cooked then add to a basic garlic and tomato pasta sauce. then serve with garlic potatoes (chopped up potatoes and garlic and roasted in oven add chopped streaky bacon for extra taste) Yum, yum!

  • You could use turkey mince instead of beef to make a meatloaf. Turkey tends to be a drier meat than beef so you may need to add extra liquid or egg to it. There is probably a recipe on here using beef. Alternatively you could put a little less breadcrumbs in it (if that is included in the ingredients. I know you mentioned that you don’t want to make pies. An alternative for some of it could be a cottage pie. Another alternative is to make a pasty slice with some mince in it and plenty of vegetables. Some commercially made pasties used to have a little bit of meat in them. With a slice you just cut off the size piece you want for a serve.

  • I dont have a recipe but i would find any recipe of any sort that sounds like it would taste nice that has mince as a base a substitue the same amount of turkey for what ever meat they say to use. It should taste great and more to your liking.

  • I have never tried turkey mince in tacos, interesting idea.
The fritatta with turkey mince sounds Great.
Would love the recipe if not too much trouble.

  • It makes yummy tacos, I also make a cannelloni with turkey mince and lots of veges, and make a frittata, and use turkey mince in it x
