  • You just have to wean. Do a scoop less of goats and replace with a scoop of nan then wait 1-2 days to see if there’s any reaction. If not replace another scoop and wait the same amount of time. Just keep repeating until bub is fully on nan.

  • Fresh milk

  • Just incorporate it in a few feeds in a week and see how she reacts ifall is good fingers crossed just give her time to transition

  • Is there a specific reason you want to switch? My daughter has been on goats formula since about 2.5 mths old due to cows formula making her really gassy and uncomfortable with bad reflux. After being on goat she was a complete different kid. She’s now 2 and still on goats with an occasional top up of cow’s milk and also has cow’s milk in her cereal. There is also studies to show goat milk formula is easy to digest therefore making the nutrients easier for bubs to absorb and also less proteins making it closer to breast milk in that regard. I wouldn’t change her to cows formula if u don’t have to. Just slowly introduce it.

  • I’m surprised to read that goats will is a recommended milk for babies! You do know you can get lactose free formulas? If that’s your bubs issue. It is a couple of dollars more expensive, but you do what you gotta do when you’re a mum looking after a baby

  • My question is why does your Dr. think she’s ready to swap? If your baby is lactose intolerant it could well be too soon to be swapping yet. My friend didn’t swap until her baby was over 12 months old, then had to be careful she didn’t have other food with much milk in it. My friend was lactose intolerant for quite a few years then gradually introduced it which was fine for a few years now her intolerance is worse than it used to be. She changed back to strict lactose intolerant but accidentally ate some when out She had to be rushed to hospital as it caused a life threatening reaction.
