Hello!

My 14 month old is waking up every two hours or so at night! I know it’s the cold waking her up but I am struggling to keep her happy! She goes to bed in a terry towel onesie with a vest underneath and in a sleep sack with her blanket on top. Two hours later she has no blankets and got out of the sleep sack, so I put her in it again blankets back on tuck her in and she busts out again two hours later this goes on until about 7 am when it warms up again and she sleeps better what shall I do?

  • A thicker sleeping tog and the fastening on the back. We ordered ours mostly at ErgoPouch

  • Can you keep her room a little warmer?

  • Btw my youngest never uses a blanket. So it’s only her pj and her sleeping sack. I made some sleeping sacks myself, summer and winter ones, to make sure she’s warm enough. To prevent her undressing herself I made a press button fastening over the top of the zip and over that a double button fastening which closes in the inside of the garment.

  • I have the sleeping togs back to front on by my youngest (zip on the back) so she can’t get them off. Sleeping togs come in different quality, winter & summer. When it’s really cold you could chose to put the radiator on during the night on a low setting.

  • Is the sleep sack like a sleeping bag where the shoulders are buttoned in? Maybe you need a heater in the room or put more clothes on her.

  • Perhaps a heater in her room and put two or 3 onsies on her to keep her warm

  • a fuzzy onsies over their pjs if they cant keep blankets on.

  • I’ve used Grobags on all three of my children with great success. None of them have ever gotten themselves out of them. I’m confident that if I follow the instructions for dressing depending on the weight of the grobag and the temperature that they’ll be snug as they need to be.

  • I would recommend sleeping bags :)

  • Sleeping bags are a life saver. Had the same problem with my son and sleeping bag saved us!

  • I love the sleeping bags!! If you go to the baby shops you can find good quality ones there. Most also are labelled for different tog levels (thickness).

  • Definitely the sleeping bag, you can get the one that zips up then has a cover that goes over the top of the zip to stop them from being able to pull it down.

  • Try the sleeping bags that are like a onesie or put a woolen under blanket in her cot.

  • If she keeps getting out of blankets/sleep suits maybe put a heater in the room, I know it might get expensive but even if its just for a few nights so you get some sleep and hopefully she gets out of the routine of waking up

  • Definately agree with purchasing a sleeping bag, snug as a bug in a rug, plus a peaceful sleep for mum! Goodluck
