Just wondering what others thought would be the age to stop being naked around your kids. My 4 year old daughter comes in and talks to me while I’m in the shower or on the toilet, and I think nothing of it. But when does it become inappropriate?

  • I’ve never been comfortable being naked around my kids. Or my partner for that matter. Very prudish I know

  • I’m comfortable in underwear but not naked.

  • My kids never saw me naked. I was never comfortable being naked in front of anyone, so I didn’t do it

  • I think thats the real question. At what age do they stop just barging in on you when you’re naked?

  • I think this is a personal issue for you as a mum and as a family to decide on. Personally, I’m happy for the girls and the boys to be seperate in our family when they get to school age.

  • There is no age limit to learning body and image acceptance, so there is no age limit to being naked as a family in front of our kids or each other, and or the kids naked in front of us.
Our kids are early and late teen, B & G, and they have more physical and emotional body image acceptance with their and our shape, size, our difference in bits and ages.

If and when anyone of us want to be dressed or naked at home is purely a personal choice, which so far means way less laundry and better for us, our budget and the environment. It is a win win win, and we are proud of our kids and their maturity in accepting people and their physical form, as opposed to the many kids at school and their ill informed attitudes.

Many adults also suffer this form of ill feelings and discrimination towards those with less than perfect bodies. We are all beautiful and perfect in our own way.
Being naked, it is your choice, not anyone elses.

  • yeah they would only see a quick dash of mum in a towel running to the bedroom lol.

  • I never stopped undressing or dressing in front of my children and my parents (in their 70’s) still dress/undress in front of me. As a result I’m fairly relaxed about nudity.
When the child is old enough to understand that you prefer showering or using the toilet on your own, you can enjoy a few minutes of peace and quiet though!

  • I was never comfortable being baked around my kids. Goes back to horror stories of seeing my parents naked and scarring me fir life

  • I personally don’t find it a problem. At any age.
