Hello!

I’ve had to go dairy free but I’m really missing my lattes. Is there anything I can have that doesn’t taste awful? I’ve tried almond, rice, and soy milk. I can’t stand the taste of any of the milk alternatives out there. Am I doomed to never drink a latte again?

  • I enjoy soy milk. I don’t like almond milk though. Maybe just keep trying these alternatives and one of them might grow on you.


  • We all have different taste buds, but we use coconut milk.


  • I second asking a barista for some ideas. If you haven’t tried, coconut milk is less flavoursome than some of the others you’ve tried.


  • hmm not sure what to suggest. i think that you do more research and try to work it out. check out what vegans do!


  • Maybe ask your local Barista for idea? They may have a good suggestion.


  • I quite like Soy milk as an alternative. – it takes a bit of getting used to, but now I swap between the 2 quite happily – daughter likes it too – she asks for it plain. I also find that honey instead of sugar (if you have sugar in your coffee) works we’ll in soy. Just hubby won’t have soy


  • I love the coconut and almond milk. At the supermarket you can find it already prepared. Or you can mix the two milks yourself. You could use coconut cream instead of coconut milk.
