Hello!

My insides just feel so out of whack at the moment. I’ve been feeling off for quite a while. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for probiotics and/or vitamins that I could take to improve this please? Tia x

  • I use inner health plus and generally take a multivitamin by Blackmores. Having said that when I’m feeling a bit yuck I will try and do a bit of a detox and cut out processed foods for a while and have more green juices (lots of spinach etc and some fruit to sweeten)

  • I myself use daily kefir which is a fermented milk. Kefir grains contain up to 61 strains of bacteria and yeasts, making them a very rich and diverse probiotic source. I personally don’t buy kefir, I have the kefir grains and make it daily myself

  • Inner Health and Inner Health Plus and Life Space IBS Support probiotics

  • I take Nature’s Way Restore probiotics. They’re super convenient, as they don’t need to be refrigerated.
They’re around $15 for a months’ worth at Chemist Warehouse.

  • if your not feeling that great at the moment then it may be a good idea to go to the doctor to get your bloods done as there may be a certain thing your body is missing or low on which is making you feel this way i.e. low in iron and there for you can take a supplement specifically for your cause rather than a general one which may not fix your problem.

  • My pharmacist suggested a capsule or powder like Inner Health (kept in the fridge) is much more concentrated and better. Just one capsule or a teaspoon mixed in water/milk/juice a day is enough to promote good gut bacteria and help ward off nasties. You can also get Inner Health kids which my 4 year old is taking as it’s his first year at school.

  • There are plenty of products on the market and they vary in price. It depends on your budget. I get what I need from foods.

  • I would go to the doctors first if you constantly feel unwell as a bad diet can also affect your “gut ” . I find the use of ginger and garlic is good in general and the drinks such as Yakult and the Priobotic yoghurts such as Viola ? ( green and yellow tubs ) are suppose to good for you . I like the yoghurts , but not a fan of the drinks as it is too sour tasting for me . Cut down on your junk foods as well and see if you feel any better .

  • I’ve heard Innerhealth plus is really good. I’ve never tried it personally but think its worth a look at. Also speak to pharmacist who may have recommendations too.

  • I usually use youghart (often differen types hoping they each add a little something different). Sometimes I just give my insides a break for a day (like not eating too much dairy or grains). I think it gives my body a chance to process anything that might have set it out of whack. Some food intolerances just build up and a break gives you a chance to recover and go back to eating them again. But I admit that is guesswork and only GP tests would really tell you what was going on.

  • My family has the Natures Way restore probiotic every day! Its a little chocolate ball that looks like a matleaser! they are the equivalent to three tubs of yogurt. You only need one every day! Woolworths often have them half price or even try a local discount pharmacy!!

  • I have used Vaalia probiotics (from the supermarket fridge) in the past and found it to be very good.

  • Ask for a blood test next time you go to the doctors then they can inform you with what you are lacking in… But if you dont have the time inner health from the little fridge in the chemist works wonders for me..

  • Inner Health would be the most popular,it’s not cheap but it is good!

  • Yoghurt! Much cheaper than supplements.
