  • Survey sites are good for a little extra money on the side but you won’t earn a full time wage. You could try selling things on ebay or looking for odd jobs on airtasker etc

  • I haven’t been able to find any that are worth the money for the time required, they seem to be few and far between. Party plans, survey sites, selling on eBay are all I can suggest.

  • A couple of apps that I’ve used to earn small amount of money here and there are AirTasker and Smart Spotter. Only some AirTasker jobs are online, and I think they are quite competitive. They aren’t exactly what you’re looking for but might be good until you could find something more permanent!

  • You can try freelance writing for a website such as hubgarden. You earn a small click per view revenue, plus you can get a financial reward for winning an award for a quality article that is published. There are also editor positions that receive payment.

  • It’s not online but if you like walking you could get a local paper round or deliver phamplets.

  • I know they have recently advertised for secret shoppers, it’s not a lot of money but it does help. Otherwise depending on your circumstances you could do something like catalogue delivery where you could take bub out with you. There are online survey sites too such as pure profile where you can earn money (not a lot but every little bit helps sometimes).

  • I don’t know whether this applies to all states. In SA one of the Govt. Depts. gives free advice about how to start a small business, the best options available and whether it will work or not according to the number already that could be doing the same thing. There is sometimes advertisements looking for people to work from home. Not all pay the amount of money stated unless you can work very long hours.

  • If you are good at typing you could ask your local courthouse whether there are any transcript typing jobs going. I believe you are sent tapes of court cases and you have to type/transcribe them and send them back.

  • I used to work in market research. The company I worked for used to hire mothers to work from home. The only problem is that this was when I was living in NZ so I am not sure if there are Aus companies that do the same sorry!

  • I’ve found the Lipsense and Scentsy etc party plan businesses don’t last very long. Once you’ve sold to all your friends and family, it’s basically the end of the line. I saw an ad on Facebook the other day looking for people to do emails for a business.

  • I’ve heard of many party plan businesses such as Scentsy, Norwex, LipSense etc being very popular amongst stay at home mums. You can find consultants online in your area and get advise from them on how to pursue this and if its right for you. It can be competitive but it can be a solid income too.
