They are smaller and lighter than a caravan/camper van, but will obviously not fit as much in there.

Camper trailers and vans and the like are all good fun and perfect for families.

We would like to get one too. One thing we have kept in mind is the layout of the bed. We don’t want to have to climb over each other to get out. Pros would be that they are more compact and with the right one, have everything you need in the way of kitchen set up

Cons are they are still quite time consuming to put up and the cost obviously – we found a pop up camper van (like a Jayco) were easier and offered much better storage. Pros are that you can keep most things in the trailer so packing/unpacking is easier than pitching a tent and packing everything else.
