  • I would only do if medically necessary

  • Both my sons are not done and they are adults now and have never had a problem. If it is just for cosmetic reasons or because hubby is done that does not justify having it done. Always get three opinions from different doctors and get all the facts.

  • I was against it, my family don’t believe in it. However my husband was done, and his family are very for it. We got my son done. To be honest, it was heartbreaking. But we had to weigh up if the pros outweighed the cons, and they did. I have heard some horror stories from friends at school who had to be done when they were in their teenage years, and would hate for that to happen to my son. Whilst the procedure was awful, the recovery was fine. I think it bothered me more than my son. I would do it again.

  • This is a hard one. My hubby was done, and he wanted his son to look like him. I was not sold, and it was going to be an epic battle!! In the end, my son had to be circumcised, as his foreskin fused on the left side of his penis. When I picked him up from the specialist, he was being held by a nurse and was obviously so stressed, and had her necklace imprint in his forehead!!! My brother took me, as my ex hubby was a big shirker, and I said to my bro, my baby is NOT going in his capsule, I am cuddling him the whole way home… Heartbreaking and a very personal decision to make. Do what you feel is right x

  • We did our sons for health reasons.
My husbands family had a history or UTIs (more common if uncircumcised) and any of the boys were uncircumcised as babies, needed it as teens! Ouch!

It can help prevent STIs also (not completely but it definitely helps) and aparently in the future,it feels better for them.

My son got his at 3 weeks and it was so fast and didnt seem to bother him at all. He cried for a few mins but once I breastfed him, he was fine. We also used panadol just in case but he was fine. It took about 10 days to heal

  • neither of my boys are circumcised. i wouldnt chop off thier fingers or their nose so no need to chop a part off their penis that isnt doing them any harm

  • I don’t really see any pros. I personally think it’s mean. Look up the procedure.

  • We didn’t circumcise our son because his father wasn’t and we thought it would be hard to explain why our son was different to daddy. As long your child is taught good hygiene there are no problems with not being circumcised, but eventually it does come down to being a very personal parental decision and its no-ones business but yours.
