Hello!

I’m in a locked down state so can’t physically visit my father or father-in-law this Father’s Day, but would love to send them a gift. Does anyone have any suggestions for gifts that won’t break the bank and are easy to send? I would really like to gift something sentimental given they haven’t seen their grandchildren in so long.

  • I agree a personal or personalised gift is nice; a letter, drawing, fotobook, framed photo, personalised apron / towel / tea towel / pillow / blanket / mug / key ring / candle, the list goes on

  • I love sending a handmade card and something like a mug with the kids pictures on it

  • FTM…. But didn’t realise this happens? Or is this instead of something for their child?

  • Personalised gifts are nice.. if they haven’t seen their grandkids in a while maybe something from vista print and get it sent straight to their address.

  • I actually love snapfish ( website) it has some amazing gifts which you can personalise with your own photos and the prices are really reasonable – plus they are always having fantastic sales as well.

  • Sometimes I do a snapfish photo book, or key rings or painting from the kids etc.

  • A scrapbook that the kids can make?

  • Snapfish are doing 50% off their photo books.
You can make a collection of pictures of him with the kids as this will be sentimental and I think is so thoughtful.
Whack in a handmade card by them as well and you’re a winner.

  • Unfortunately I only just seen this question but my suggestion is there is theses place called snackezy or joyful hampers they do gift boxes and can budget to any ones budget I brought one for $60 from snackezy for my fil and it can be sent to them or to you I find these to be super easy and who doesn’t love snacks and lollies

  • Get your kids to draw a placemat for them (and laminate it). Or have a browse of photo gifts from somewhere like Snapfish – they’re not all expensive.

  • A personalised letter with drawings is always a special keepsake.

  • Make a card with a photo of you all together in it would be so special!

  • Personalised cards/art work is always a wonderful present for family members.

  • I’ve ordered a personalised candle with a photo on it by YourSurprise, but so many other things that you can personalise

  • My parents loved simple drawing made by my kids ( they are 3 and 5yo)
