  • Lent can be a time of deep reflection for some people.

  • Nothing. I’m not sure this has real meaning for most people.

  • I have never thought to do this but I may just give it a go this year. Fasting may be good.

  • My Dad would give up sweets which was he treat as Lent was so important to him!

  • yeah well depends on how extreme you want to go, as well.

  • My husband and I both did coffee several years back and it was tough, especially with both of us working late nights at that stage. I was considering doing it again this year, hoping my toddler will be compliant.

  • Giving up something for Lent has to be a sacrifice and not something that you can do without. I would suggest researching the meaning of Lent, it may help you?

  • We talk about this a lot – something worth doing this year – that’s for the dates.

  • Generally its chocolates or sweets. Very proud of mine son , one year he gave up his video games which was hard for him , but he did it. Hopefully he can do it again this year .

  • maybe google it or see what people did for last year’s.

  • I generally do give up something for lent. This year I will be eagerly awaiting the arrival of bub no 2 (due 20 March) so I’ll probably be wanting to treat myself instead of deprive myself (given how many things we give up for pregnancy).

  • I usually try and do something. Better get my thinking cap on for this year!

  • no i don’t do this but i saw everyone doing this on social media last year. it was trending lol
