  • Anything with rhymes is a winner


  • The gruffalo, anything by Mem Fox, Julia Donaldson, Aaron Blabey. Anything that can be read with a rhythm and rhymes. Your childrens’ favourite books will be the ones you enjoy reading to them.

  • My toddler grandkids love any of the Peppa Pig books. Lift the flap books are still favourites, such as Spot lift the flap, and aslo Hairy Maclary books. Classic fairy tales like Goldilocks and the three bears and The Gingerbread Man are popular as well.


  • The cranky bear serious is a great hit with my 4.


  • Can’t go past ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ you can get clothes and toys of this now as well.


  • My son loves the dr seuss books especially scrambled eggs super.


  • My kids favourite book at the moment is ‘The Wonky Donky’. Its a silly book which my kids love to read. Well actually they read to me. There is also a youtube video which my kids find hilarious and always ask to watch.


  • A favourite in our house is “Dear Zoo”. It’s a lift the flap book. Both of my children have loved it.


  • My son is currently reading the Tom Gates books (author Liz Pichon). We did see the Captain Underpants movie during the school holidays and have got a few from the library to try.


  • I used to love reading my daughter the Dr Seuss books.


  • Oh yes, all the books by Mex Fox!! She’s such a wonderful writer! Everybody should read her books!! :-)


  • We love a wide range of books and we are regular library users. We all get to read lots of books as the library has a wealth of books.


  • We love Pig the Pug, That’s not my…, Where is the Green Sheep, Guess how much I love you, any Spot the Dog books. My daughter is 15 months!
