We watch a lot of movies especially during Covid so I’m always looking for new ones to try or the best ones to re-watch.

  • Last year for Christmas we received ‘The Great Night In, Family Movie Collection.’
My daughter’s favourite movie from this pack is ‘Rise of the Gardians.’ That would be a lovely one for this time of year.
Actually another Christmas movie, if you are up for something silly and a little over the top, is ‘Elf.’
Hmmm, my third movie would be… how about a classic like ‘Home Alone.’ (This is in the movie pack). No, maybe ‘Love Actually’ would go with my list better!
I do love the classics though, like, Madagascar, WallE, Incredibles, Toy Story and Shrek…

  • Love Actually, Bridget Jones’s Diary and 10 Things I Hate About You, Clueless, How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days – all brilliant

  • 1. Driving Miss Daisy.
    2. The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
    3. Plains, Trains and Automobiles.

  • Forrest Gump is my favourite. No matter how many times I watch it, I feel sad, happy, angry all of the emotions like its the first watch

  • I have gone back and watched all my favourite from my childhood – Gremlins, Back to the Future, Drop Dead Fred, the Jim Carrey movies like The Mask, The Goonies etc.

  • We have also been revisiting our childhood movies and introducing them to a new generation.

  • We have been having a good time revisiting and discovering classic movies and these are often available at the library.

  • North by Northwest,The godfather part 2,The good the bad and the ugly,Cheers Krusty.

  • One of my favourite movies is The House of the Spirits (film) after a book of Isabel Allende.
The House of the Spirits (Original title Das Geisterhaus) is a 1993 German-Danish-Portuguese period drama film directed by Bille August and starring Jeremy Irons, Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Winona Ryder, Antonio Banderas and Vanessa Redgrave.
I also loved the movie Rabbit-Proof Fence and North & South (mini serie)

  • I love Drama and Musicals. Moulin Rouge my all-time favourite along with Phantom of the Opera and
Les Misérables. Marie Antoinette is a 2006 historical drama film, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society historical romantic drama and Downton Abbey series is entertaining.

  • Our favourite Family Movie is “Hunt for the Wilderpeople”
I love and never get sick of “Love Actually”
and the Harry Potter series are always good

  • My top 3 movies are
    Practical Magic
    The Craft
    Dirty Dancing
