Hello!

My neck/under my chin is terrible. I’m so self conscious about it. I really really need to get rid of it. I’ve tried the exercises that google has suggested with no avail. Has anyone ever had liposuction on that area? I can’t stand pain but I’m so desperate to get rid of it. It makes me look super fat when the rest of me isn’t :( I’m so down on myself that I barely have any photos of myself with my husband or daughter

  • I too have this and have tried many things to fix it. I think it’s a sign of old age. I’m disappointed that there don’t seem to be many helpful suggestions. Guess I’ll have to learn to live with it

  • Let us know how you go and I hope you find someone who can help you with some answers.

  • yeah if you are really unhappy then see someone. better to be happy hey! maybe you might need surgery, maybe not but a professional will be able to tell. it is probably not as bad as you think. we seem to make things bigger in our heads than they really are. i bet your hubby and daughter don’t even see what you see!

  • I hope some of the answers have helped and I hope you start to feel better about yourself. x

  • I would definitely agree with seeing your GP first. They will be able to refer you to an appropriate specialist that may be able to assist.

  • Sorry to hear that you are feeling down and that it is impacting on your life. See your GP and they will connect you with people that may be able to help you.

  • One of my ankles was so big i also had to get something done about it, It got so big i couldnt wear sneakers, high heals etc…. only slide on shoes. I would say go to a gp and get advise from there. They could put you in touch with someone that could help and give you your options. But for me to get my issue fixed it was very expensive…….Im just lucky i had health insurance to cover some of it…but the gap cost was still big…

  • I started using Rosehip oil due to increasing lines on my neck because I heard it was a very powerful antioxidant and smoothed wrinkles and lines . What I did was I massaged it on my neck and did this before I apply night cream on . After about a week or 2 I noticed my neck was really smooth and the lines decreased dramatically. Give it a go and if it is too intense for you , use it on its own until you are used to the oil. There are other new oils in the market too such as Argen , Chia seed etc that sounds interesting .
Hope one of them works for you .

  • Please try not to be so harsh on yourself! Our bodies change as we get older, and there is only so much we can do. Sometimes a different neckline or jewellery can make a huge difference to our overall looks and self confidence – this could be worth getting professional advice with?
