Hello!

I’ve always had dry skin but now it’s beyond a joke. I use a serum twice daily but my skin (especially my forehead) is so dry it’s flaky. I can’t even wear make up as it looks terrible! Any cost effective suggestions?

  • Maybe the serums you’ve been using aren’t working for your skin. Have you tried any other moisturisers? Are you drinking enough water? You could have a chat with a pharmacist or your doctor and see what they recommend.

  • Vitamin E cream is also a good choice as it is so rich in texture.

  • I absolutely love Nutrimetics. They have different options depending on your skin type

  • My Aunty’s GP suggeted Sorbolene Cream. He also she use it in the shower instead of other products. He skin definitely improved.

  • Me too – redness if use a chemical filled product. I am in love with rosehip oil – apply it each evening, and my gosh, my sun damaged skin loves me!

  • I would suggest Sorbolene cream, but a lot of the other suggestions here seem like good treatments to try.

  • An overnight mask of either roship oil, bio oil or a popped vitamin E capsule applied directly to the skin. You wake up with hydrated and plumped skin.

  • Buy some Sorbolene and Rose Hip Oil. Add a few drops of Rose Hip Oil to Sorbolene and apply to skin. Works for me. Good luck.

  • Olive oil is a good natural skin saver. Have you looked at how you’re washing your face, what with, how often? That could be contributing to your problem. I’ld just keep up regular moisturising

  • Rosehip oil (trilogy)!
I’ve only been using it for about a week and there’s already a huge improvement :)

  • I would suggest trying different testers at a pharmacy. That way you can see if your skin reacts or responds to the product, without the huge expense first

  • Coconut oil, rose hip oil. Both amazing!

  • Rosehip Oil (Trilogy) is fantastic for dry skin and Vitamin E cream.

  • i know what you mean about the make-up! it goes crumbly and doesn’t spread nice but rather gets stuck on the dry patches and makes it stand out

  • I use olive oil or argan oil. A few drops in the hand and rug it in helps me greatly. I didn’t put too much on otherwise my skin becomes oily as I have very wide pores.
